Benefit: It has less restriction so it flows more air and frees up power.
Part Number For The Air Filter: Motor Saver Part #MS0214
Part Number For Air Filter Oil: Motor Saver Part #MS0205
Total Install Time: 10 Minutes Including Assembly
First Impressions: The first glance was enough to sell me. This thing flows from the
top and the sides. The dual foam element looked high quality and the metal screen mesh
is really nice.
Assembly: The foam fliters are pre-oiled so all you do is put the foam with the hole
in the middle in first and the other foam last then put the top on the filter. It's very simple.
Installation: The install on my TRX carb was a cinch. Just slip the whole filter
assembly onto the carb. I would recommend using a Zip tie to help keep it on.
Performance: The performance was only slightly increaded. The fuel does last a bit
longer though. The entire rpm ranged did benefit from the addition of the higher flowing
air filter. The best part is probably that off the line hesitation has been reduced.
Likes: I like the fact that foam filters can be washed and reused. The metal mesh
looks nice and works great for letting air flow in the sides and top.
Dislikes: When I think of one I will post it right here.
Comments: The air filter is a great stepping stone hop up. The more engine mods you do the
more an aftermarket air filter helps. Even if you don't plan on any other upgrades to your engine,
this one should be done. The Motor Saver Filter is much better than the stock unit. Also, you
should get some filter oil. The oil does play a part in the filtering proccess. A bottle of filter oil
lasts for many washes and is money well spent. I recommend the Motor Saver air filter to everyone
who has anything nitro powered. It is cheap insurance. You can get a Motor Saver air filter for
almost any application from on road to mud bogging.
